Tchelo and Adriana Affortunati

Adriana Affortunati

was born in 1982 in Sao Paulo where she still lives and works. She studied Aesthetics and Contemporary Philosophy at the Università Statale di Milano and got a BA in Visual Arts at the Centro Universitário Belas Artes de São Paulo. Since her graduation, in 2008 she has been holding exhibitions in several Cultural Institutions and Art Galleries: She won the Residency Prize of the 27th Annual of Centro Cultural Mestre Assis and the PROAC 21, both prizes from the Secretary of Culture of São Paulo. Her first solo exhibition was at TNT Gallery during the 5°Atlântico Contemporâneo, in Rio de Janeiro in 2012. Her second solo exhibition was at JB Goldenberg Gallery in 2015, same year she participated at the XVIII Biennal of Cerveira in Portugal.

Tchelo

was born in São Paulo, Brazil, where he has graduated in Social Communication. In 2000, he attended the Post Experience Programme in Visual Arts at the Royal College of Art, in London. 

 

He has been involved in several art activities and workshops, and has participated in projects discussion groups conducted by professors and artists such as Charles Watson, Jailton Moreira, Franz Manata, Nino Cais and Marcelo Amorim. 

 

In 2015 he presented the solo exhibition Princípia in São Paulo, awarded at the 19º Cultura Inglesa Festival, and was awarded at the XVIII Bienal de Cerveira, in Portugal.
